As the learning and development arm of MRCA, MRCA Academy is committed to building a strong community of HR and Learning & Development (L&D) professionals while strengthening talent, leadership and workforce capabilities across the retail and franchise industry. Through industry-relevant training, professional certification programmes, leadership development, digital upskilling and practical learning opportunities, the Academy helps members close skills gaps, enhance productivity and stay ahead of evolving industry trends.
Beyond training, MRCA Academy strengthens the wider retail ecosystem by connecting members with emerging talents through internship and employment opportunities, while also engaging prospective businesses and supporting MRCA’s membership growth. By bringing together industry experts, strategic partners, HR professionals and future talents, MRCA Academy aims to strengthen MRCA’s value proposition and position itself as Malaysia’s leading retail professional academy.
Objectives
- To build a strong community of HR and Learning & Development (L&D) personnel from MRCA member companies through the MRCA Academy platform.
- To recruit new MRCA members by using Academy training programmes as an engagement and conversion platform for prospective businesses.
- To equip MRCA members with industry-relevant competencies through professional certification programmes, enhancing workforce capability and business performance within the retail industry.
- To close industry skill gaps by delivering practical one-day and two-day upskilling programmes based on current retail industry needs and skills gap analysis.
- To increase employability and productivity among participants through impactful training and measurable performance improvement.
- To strengthen MRCA’s value proposition by positioning MRCA Academy as Malaysia’s leading retail professional academy.
